Introducing Improved Economics Textbook

September 2007, JA Azerbaijan released the new version of the Economics textbook that will be used in schools selected this year for the School Economic Education Program (SEE) and School Economic and Business Education Program (SEBE). The textbooks content adoption and upgrade was made possible through the grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID and British Petroleum and partner companies funded the publication and distribution of the textbooks to 65 secondary schools in twelve regions. Improved based on Junior Achievement Worldwides Economics textbook, the new teaching resource addresses current situation of international and Azerbaijans economies, bases on strong scientific background, and contains applied extracurricular activities. The content abounds in historical examples, expounds economic theories and systems, gives explanation of economic policies and introduces the economic models of other countries and eminent economists of the world to students.
